To the Females who wonder why they have no problem getting dates even though they row starboard, port, or cox even...
It's simple, the laws of physics and general rules of mating don't seem to apply to the female rower, despite the fact that your hands are ripped in half by blisters, your legs are the size of texas, and you could rip any man you date in half. In general, the starboard female does have the one up on the port rower, since ports already have the bad rep from male crew teams.
Don't get me wrong, there are other reasons female ports should not be allowed to row...
Whenever a crew isn't practicing or racing (barely ever), the thing to do is hit on females, hoping to further the evolution of the species. Of course the male ports have the advantage here, but starboards do take part in this mating ritual. Weather the male is port or starboard, the attraction is always toward the bow, and therefore a 12.5% liklier chance that the male rower will be hitting on a starboard female. The bow attraction is simple, the male port is filled with self disguist, and shame, and therefore wants nothing to do with ports. The male starboard is swimming in starboard pride, and will wish to continue the species by getting with another starboard. The reason female ports are inferior is due to their jealousy of female starboards. The tendency is for the female port to attempt to carry on their species by trying to get some of the action flowing toward starboard...and thus become an annoying sex crazed brat (which of course no one will touch).
No matter how you look at it, being a port is not something anyone should want to mess around with.
